SAVE OUR INDIGENOUS KNOWLEDGE

With the onslaught of modernization fast upon us, many Cordillerans face a real danger that is unseen by many because it hides behind the glamor and glitz of self-improvement and modern advancement.  Like the atrophy of an ailing bodily organ that slowly wastes away because of illness, so too does the Indigenous Knowledge (IK) of all Igorots from the Cordilleras.  Once our IK is lost, our very own culture also vanquishes.

BIBBAK-Illinois is committed to aid in the prevention of any such disaster by helping raise awareness and financial support for organizations that work to preserve/conserve our IK.  This is more than a charitable outreach to us.  Instead, we consider it our obligation to help all Cordillerans by supporting this cause, this crusade.

Join us as members of BIBBAK-Illinois or as friends/supporters (regardless of your ethnic background) in our efforts to thwart the extinction of our culture.  Start by claiming your support by saying, "I'm an IK."  That's right, "I'm an IK."  If thousands of people can rally behind the technology of Microsoft by saying,"I'm a PC," thousands can also rally around something as important as saving a culture by saying, "I'm an IK, and the idea of preserving our Indigenous Knowledge should be every Igorot's idea."
