VISION 2011

Our VISION for this year is to "Revive" BIBBAK-Illinois and begin transforming it into a much larger & active organization of leaders who are dedicated in the promotion and conservation of our proud Igorot culture.  Our game plan to achieve this goal will be as follows:

Build Local Youth Involvement

  • Elect youth officers (first a President, then others as needed).
  • Make the inclusion and involvement of the youth a priority in all gatherings and events.
  • Develop initiative and interest within the youth through empowerment (they are the future).

Build Local Membership through Meetings, Gatherings and Events

  • Meetings - Executive board will exceed the minimum 4 meeting requirements, and will meet more often to keep our vision Clear, Concise and Mentally Visual.
  • Gatherings - We will hold at least 4 gatherings for all members to afford everyone a chance to develop a brotherly and sisterly bond.  Every gathering will include potluck and the opportunity for music and dance.  When the weather permits, we will host picnics and health-fitness-friendly events.
  • Events - We will participate in multi-cultural public events by sharing our native music, dance and attire with audiences not affiliated with BIBBAK to promote our culture to the rest of the world.

Rally Around a Noble Cause
Any organization such as ours needs to reach out to those less fortunate or in need.  Rather than focus our outreach energy on any one particular individual or small group, we will focus on an ever increasing need to save our culture from the real danger of extinction.
